Principal's Message

Welcome to the Rosendo Benavides Elementary family! Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about our Benavides Elementary community. Our staff is working hard to prepare engaging and rewarding learning experiences for all students. At RBE, we place high value on our partnership with parents, families, and community and we invite you to be an active part of helping students to achieve their full potential. We consider it a privilege to work with your kids every day to help them be their very best selves. We believe that each and every student has the potential to shine, and we work hard to unlock that potential. We have high expectations of our students, and we have high expectations of ourselves to help all RBE students learn and grow into well-rounded citizens. RBE aims to develop leadership skills, social and emotional skills, and academic skills to prepare students for success not only in elementary but in their future. According to a recent Department of Labor report, 65% of students will be employed in jobs that do not yet exist, so it will be important for all students to acquire the analytical, evaluative, and creative skills to apply such thinking toward becoming successful in the jobs of the future. To help your student be successful in elementary school, help them understand what is required of them to be succeed. Talk about qualities and learning behaviors such as: viewing errors as opportunities, working to recover from a mistake, importance of homework and class work, asking questions, collaborating with peers, participating in class, setting goals, and being a role model/leader. We also need the students to be present in class every day. Let us work together to make all of this a reality. Please continue to visit our website and join our Facebook page for updates throughout the year. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Sincerely, Dr. Romeo Benavidez Principal Rosendo Benavides Elementary
